Surprise Birthday Party!?

I never want to do the same things twice. I like surprises.

Mr. Major made the mistake of telling me he had never been thrown a Surprise birthday party a few weeks ago so for the last few weeks I have been secretly planning a Birthday party for him. The only snag I hit really is that I am terrible at keeping secrets! Every-time I would open my mouth I would have to stop myself and make sure I wasn't going to say anything incriminating. Needless to say after three weeks of sweating bullets and secrecy I can now officially say the party was a success. 

I decided to a Surprise Party that highlighted Mr.Majors love of all things spicy. Some of my favorite gifts were some that I ordered online...I found some really amazing homemade rubs and spices from Craigs Market on Etsy- since we are getting into the summer grilling months I figured I would suggest him as great gift or a treat for yourself this summer! He also got some of his favorite organic coffee from Larry's Beans (available online!). 

Our Menu Consisted Of:

Chips

Mango Thai Shrimp skewers

Irish Cream Cake

Coffee icecream

Sangria

We all had entirely too much fun shooting off poppers and sounding our noise makers as he came through the door. Keeping a secret is hard work- which is why I think I have cured myself of ever wanting to do a surprise birthday party again- or... at least for a few years. :)
