“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” -Ashley Smith
Yes, yes We are back and in business from our week long vacation to Tennessee- which was fabulous as always. This time around we managed to do a lot more exploring and picture taking which is ideal since we most likely wont be going back to Tennessee for a while. Especially so, with other trips looming in the future. On to the good stuff...
On my birthday we went to a few local Apple Orchards and Open Air Markets. How could I have gone so long without experiencing the wonder of Fresh Apple Cider?
On one of our trips Mr. Major and I stumbled into a small town called Dandridge- it's Tennessee's second oldest town and from the minute we crossed the bridge over the French sound into this sweet little town we were in love.
We had lunch at a local Inn which was fabulous and then we did some walking on Main Street to look at some of the older homes. As things would go two blocks from the heart of town is this beautiful little gem that was built in 1900. It has six bedrooms and three baths and is just about the exact same price we paid for our home in FL. It needs so much work, but I am still in love and while I know it will be at least three years before were able to move again- I hope that some how this place is still there.
Now don't get hasty and start thinking I have given up on Our little 1900's house in Florida. Though I will admit I did feel sleazy for even eying another house. It's just that, living in Florida forever was never in my plan. Having grown up here most of my life, experienced the schools, and the neighborhoods and the general feeling of over crowding nearly everywhere you go- I am sure I don't want to raise my family here. While Im not saying Tennessee has the best educational system or the best anything for that matter- it's where were comfortable and thats what counts.
My goal in the next three years is to get the business here running solidly for my mother so she can run it full time. Move to Tennessee or North Carolina and continue with my botanicals and photography.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and is gearing up for the next one!
